About Southbay Falcons Sports Club

The Southbay Falcons Sports Club is a proud and long-standing institution in the heart of our community. Founded in 1984, the club has grown from a single rugby league team into a thriving multi-sport organisation offering programs in rugby league, netball, touch football, and athletics. Generations of local families have been involved in the Falcons, and our legacy continues to grow year after year.

Our History

What began as a grassroots rugby league team competing in weekend comps quickly evolved into a full community club supporting junior and senior athletes. By the early 1990s, the Falcons had added women’s netball and touch football to the lineup. In 2003, we introduced our Track & Field program to support athletes outside the winter codes, and since then, our reputation as a nurturing, community-first club has continued to flourish.

Notable Achievements

  • Rugby League Senior Men’s Premierships: 1998, 2006, 2017
  • U17 Falcons (Netball): Regional Champions 2022, 2023
  • Junior Athletics: Zone Meet Champions 2019 & 2022
  • Touch Football Mixed Social Division: Summer Cup Winners 2021
